Anne Penachio


Ms. Anne Penachio is an experienced litigator and bankruptcy attorney. She takes a client-centric approach and has represented a wide range of clients, including debtors, creditors, committees, equity holders and prospective purchasers or insolvent businesses.


In practice for more than 24 years, Ms. Penachio has earned an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating a lawyer can obtain, which indicates a very high to preeminent legal ability and exceptional ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the bar.

Clients trust Ms. Penachio to assist with navigation through complex bankruptcy and litigation matters, and she regularly appears in the United States Bankruptcy courts for the Southern District of New York. In addition to practicing bankruptcy law, she routinely represents parties in general litigation in both federal and state courts, out-of-court restructuring and commercial matters.


She has played significant roles in highly contested family litigation in the context of guardianships, estate litigation and corporate disputes.


Ms. Penachio is a 1991 graduate of Fordham Law School and a 1988 graduate of Fordham College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in classical languages (cum laude in cursu honorem). She is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut as well as the United States District courts for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York and the District of Connecticut.
